Economics for Christians
A Free Online Course on Faith, Work, Stewardship, and Society
Understand money, work, markets, poverty, and stewardship through a clear biblical lens — without confusion, jargon, or political noise.
What if you could understand economics clearly — and see how it connects directly to Christian faith and everyday life?
This free course is designed for Christians who want to think clearly, biblically, and wisely about the world around them. Economics affects nearly every part of life: work, family, prices, poverty, business, government, giving, and the way communities flourish.
Yet many believers have never had the opportunity to study economics in a way that connects sound reasoning with Scripture. This course fills that gap.
Why This Course Matters
Every day, Christians face real economic questions. The Bible contains a full economic course for sound stewardship, and not just devotionals or occasional platitudes. This course is designed to use biblical principles, with historical illustrations from America’s past and Biblical history as well. Here are just some of the questions we will answer, beginning on Tuesday September 8, 2026:
$ How do prices tell us what is happening in the economy?
$ Why do some families struggle because they do not understand markets, debt, liquidity, or risk?
$ Why do some nations prosper while others remain poor?
$ What does the Bible really teach about wealth, poverty, work, business, and generosity?
This course helps Christians think clearly about economics through Scripture, history, and real life.
Dr. Wayne C. Sedlak brings decades of experience in business, economics, teaching, and biblical studies. He also brings his reputation as a linguist, with expertise in biblical languages including Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. This matters because biblical truth must be understood with precision—and that truth affects the way we live, work, think, plan, invest, give, and serve.
This course uses real developments in American history, biblical history, and patterns of economic development to help students understand the “science of money” and its impact on their lives, families, churches, businesses, and communities.
