Throughout the history of the church, scriptures teach us God’s people repeatedly wander from the truth and lose their first love. Over time the church has become ensnared en masse and apostasy.
Isaiah 59 describes the apostasy that ensnares God’s people, ruining lives, destructive of faith, counterfeiting sound ethics and doctrine, apostasy leads to a situation where “truth fails.”
God calls pioneers who repent the dominant counterfeits embraced by the churches. Such pioneers stand virtually alone and Isaiah tells us they become a “prey,” as in individuals who are now vulnerable to attack from all quarters of church and society.
But the Prophet also tells us that God sees the individual who has become a “prey” because he stands almost alone by faith. And God steps in to fight for that individual against the world that hates him. That pioneer who becomes a “prey” is surrounded by the Lord who is a Fortress, and is given key promises which becomes tools and weapons of spiritual warfare against evil.
This message is designed to show the faithful Christian what is needed to stand for righteousness, to call the churches back to their love for their Lord in their rightful position as the Pillar and Ground of the Truth.
