The shame of the the people in our Wisconsin state Supreme Court election!
The “trumpet” of the church, without the Law of the Lord, is confused, distracted, sentimental … (cf.Judges 3. 1-8), no fear of God can be generated because there’s no clear definition of sin – Romans 7: 7;
- no challenging sin’s dormant and unexposed presence in heart- Romans 7: 8;
- no consequent mortification – Romans 7: 9;
- sin’s heinousness not perceived – Romans 7: 10
- sin’s real destructiveness undiscovered – Romans 7: 11;
Therefore NO resultant grace leading us to God’s holiness, His goodness, His Justice – Romans 7: 12;
- no real standard for people to fear the consequences of their actions, much less fearing their offense toward an Holy God by their voting… or anything else (cf. Isaiah 1:10; Isaiah 6:5).
This election could ONLY have been secured by His Mercy. It was not. Is the Lord “weary of our ‘repenting’ – Jeremiah 15:6?
No repentance.
No deliverance.
