The Millstone Testimonies

Often, Christians are in the minority and are challenged with the taunt, “How do you know that you have the truth?” In response, God directs “the millstone testimony”.  As Christ warned, there will be those who will malign the truth and reach out to strike His people. Throughout the ages God has given signal testimony to the world of His Presence and Power in defending His people against persecutors.

Sometimes God openly dealt with persecutors whose malice had been solely directed against individuals proclaiming the truth. At other times, God manifested His immense power for His Church, those who boldly upheld His Name. The records of the Early Church, the Middle Ages, the persecution of the Dutch, English, German, Huguenot reformation are all told here.

Too, the annals of the American colonial era and War of Independence provide well documented examples of God’s interference in the strategies and malicious attacks of the British, Hessian mercenaries, and Loyalists forces who all testified to the constant disruption and breakdown of their designs as if “by an unseen Hand” who wearied them to exhaustion and defeat.
